STEAM Showcase and Professional Review Night

The first STEAM Showcase and Professional Review Night is scheduled for Wednesday, November 18

STEAM Foundations students will be showcasing their projects from Dystopian Engineering, Kinetic Design, Caffeinated Imagination, and Martian Metropolis. They'll also have the winning 'tiny golf' courses ready for you to play, circuitry and all!

Mechanical Design Lab will be displaying innovative product prototype projects, while Digital Design Lab will have their ninja obstacle course designs available for you to see, both in a physical format, as well as through VR!

STEAM English 11: DIY Projects will be bringing out their interactive exhibits for you to learn and experience, Engineering and Robotics will be running their robots, AP Art students will be displaying their work, and our Dance students will be taking the floor with original choreography.

You don't want to miss this!

But most importantly...we need YOU to help our seniors by serving as Professional Reviewers!

Our STEAM seniors are in their first Trimester of their capstone class, Honors Design and Development. We have seniors tackling everything from building a virtual/augmented reality tool for terraforming the moon, to redesigning artificial turf to decrease athletic injuries, to creating a video journal documenting pollinators native to Minnesota to raise awareness and develop resources.

We’re looking for adults from our community in all different professions and careers! While we love to connect our students with professionals in similar areas of expertise (and often do), what we most value is your feedback and your ability to challenge our students to think deeply and critically about the problems that they're tackling.

Come join us as a Professional Reviewer! Know someone who also might be interested? Have them sign up too! Reviewers meet for appetizers and a quick orientation at 6:15pm on November 13th. From 6:30 to 7:30pm, you'll engage in conversations with our seniors, with time built into the end of the night (7:30-8pm) for you to explore other senior projects and work created by other students at the Showcase.
